Registered Professional Engineers (Pathway 1) must complete 50 hours of relevant education and training per CPD year (12 months from your registration date, and each anniversary):
At least 20 hours "Formal" (structured activity with an assessment); Informal activities are capped at 30 hours/year
At least 20 hours relevant to your area/s of practice (including keeping National Construction Code knowledge current)
At least 3 hours risk management
At least 3 hours business and management skills
Remainder relevant to your work and class of registration
Each activity must take at least 30 minutes; claim the provider-designated time, rounded down to the nearest 0.5 hour
Up to 10 surplus hours may be carried into the next CPD year
If registered in multiple classes, 15 hours per area must relate to each area
Keep written records (with supporting evidence) for 5 years
